SHREWSBURY, N.J., Dec. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — InterCloud Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ICLD), announced today a customer event hosted jointly with Juniper Networks at Juniper’s open lab in Bridgewater, New Jersey on December 11, 2014. The event will showcase how enterprises and service provider CIOs can harness the power and agility of virtualization to help them run their networks more efficiently, through “Network Functions Virtualization”, or NFV. NFV is the foundation for network virtualization and provides the ability to add new capacity, launch new services, and automate network operations.
InterCloud Vice President of Cloud Services, Aqeel Asim, stated: “We are helping our customers extend their networks and eliminate all physical appliances at their premises. This includes gateway routers, firewalls, load balancers and application servers. (SDE: Software Defined Enterprise).” Aqeel Asim added, “Contrail from Juniper is an industry proven solution for SDN and we are using it to maximize the benefit for the end user. We offer automation of complex network deployments with the use of pre-configured powerful virtual appliances (Virtual routers, firewalls and load balancers) using Juniper’s Contrail Platform.”
“We are extremely pleased with the progress our development team has made around “OpenStack,” NFV and SDN orchestration of large complex networks”, said CEO Mark Munro. This event is just the first of several live demonstrations of our NFV and SDN Cloud Network as a Service (NaaS) capabilities to our customers, industry analysts, and partners.
